What Is Grace? Meet Mephibosheth

Do you understand grace? Most don’t. We throw the word around, it inhabits every song, every doctrine statement, and—indeed— is what saves every single Christian. But we don’t, really, understand it. Here’s why:
— Grace is unique to Christianity. Every other religion says do, master, practice, perform, learn, achieve, purchase, or suffer, abstain, endure; if you do, or if you don’t do correctly you will be saved. Grace says the opposite Jesus did it. You need to believe. This is opposed to religion, and truly every man-made philosophy.
— Grace goes against human nature. We feel good to perform, make a name for ourselves, pat our selves on the back. Grace has only one hero—Jesus. Grace opposes our pride.
But, as Christians, we must understand Grace; it is the air we breath in the new life. If you are born again you have dual-citizenship; in the world, but not of the world. In the spirit you live now in Christ, and you live through His grace.
