Christian Maturity (Really)

A caterpillar is born to eat. In the spring it hatches and immediately starts eating everything it sees—in a few days it can consume 100x it’s body weight! It has a very strong mouth built for chewing hard to chew plants, and 16 short legs perfect for keeping its mouth directly over the food 24-7. Till one day a cocoon forms around it and the caterpillar—liquifies. It’s organs, even the brain, dissolve and reorganize into new organs with different functions and abilities, till it bursts out of the cocoon a completely new creature.

This process teaches us a the similar transformation God does in every person who believes in Jesus Christ. You, who believe, are new in every way. Maturing as a Christian is learning to live like it.
