Heal a Heart with Grace

A few years ago, my in-laws invited Claire, the kids, and me to join them on a trip to St. Thomas. It was my first time in the Caribbean.
It was paradise. Turquoise water everywhere you looked. A pool clear like glass. Everything immaculate.
Then we stepped into the hotel elevator. And I was shocked to hear people's response to this paradise: "There aren't enough chairs by the pool." "My drink is all ice." "She's going to make us late."
Late for what? We're on an island. There's nothing to be late for.
Everything was perfect, yet, it seemed none of the guests were happy.
You can pack for paradise and still bring the old baggage.
Wherever you go, you take the same heart.
That's why Solomon wrote:
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. — Proverbs 4:23
Today we're going to look at how God heals the heart through grace, so you can enjoy your life. I don't mean the beautiful moments, I mean, your life. When you are surrounded by beauty or troubles, it is the heart inside you that sets you free to joy.
